      Hello Jazzy,

Thank you for sharing this feedback on our NaturalWave nipple. We're sorry to hear about your experience. We designed our NaturalWave nipple to create an experience that mimics breastfeeding. For this reason, our NaturalWave nipple is clinically proven to reduce nipple confusion. Nevertheless, our bottles are easy-to-clean and certainly work with formula as well. With regard to the flow, our slow (2S) flow nipple is designed to drip while inverted. In order to help your baby learn how to handle the flow, we recommend holding the baby in a more upright fashion and holding the bottle more horizontally to decrease the dripping. We hope this helps! If you have any additional feedback or questions, please send an email to wecare@lansinoh.com. Thank you.

    Nipple Flow Too fast

I bought a full set of the bottles and nipples because of the reviews and recommendations based on the nipple shape and it’s similarities to the breast. Unfortunately the slow flow nipples are still way too fast for my breast fed baby. I have tried sitting him upright for feedings and keeping the bottle horizontal and within one suck he is stick choking. Very disappointed.

Please make a preemie, extra slow flow nipple

Please make an extra slow flow nipple or preemie nipple. Even the slow flow nipple was too fast for my baby. I love the shape of these nipples!

Size 2 slow flow is way too fast

I delivered very prematurely and have a very low milk supply, so my babe has to work pretty hard to get milk from my breast. I love the shape of these nipples and had high hopes for this bottle to be a solution to help my baby continue to love a breast that doesn’t feed him a ton of milk. Instead, these nipples drown him: he gags and chokes and spills milk around the nipple and ultimately spits up from all the air he takes in while gasping to keep up with the flow. This is true even when following the recommendations to hold baby more upright and bottle more horizontal. There is just no way to adequately slow thr flow for my baby. As comparison, Dr. Browns offer three levels of slow-flow: preemie, transitional, and level 1; Lanisoh slow-flow is much faster than Dr. Browns level 1. While I like the nipple shape and ease of assembly of these Lanisoh bottles much better than any other bottles we’ve tried, I’m disappointed that a bottle specifically designed to help with breast feeding wouldn’t offer a nipple appropriate for baby-mom pairs like us who work very hard to maintain the small amount of breast feeding we can but depend on bottles to get adequately fed. Like the many others who are discouraged by a supposedly breast-like bottle that only represents some gold standard breast, I implore Lanisoh to make an ultra slow flow nipple so those of us with slower-flowing milk and slower-eating babies can take advantage of this otherwise excellent bottle.

Slow Flow Nipple is too fast

If you are thinking about switching to this bottle do your research on flow rates because this slow flow is MUCH faster than many others. I do NOT recommend it if your baby is at a slow flow stage.

Limited nipple flow levels and not accurate

I love almost everything i've experienced with Lansinoh, except the nipple flow. I am a mother baby nurse and a mom myself and that is the number one feedback and reason why moms of newborns cannot use the bottles until the babies are almost 5 months old. It was the same for my newborn as well. I VERY much hope something can be done about this because I would love to use all lansinoh products for my next baby, but if I can't use the bottles for many months it really defeats the purpose.. The slow flow nipple says a 2 on it and medium flow says 3. My baby needed a premie nipple when she was born so the Lansinoh bottles were far out of question and I had to use all Dr.Browns bottles with my lansioh pump. I was bummed and other Mom's have been as well when they invested in the whole set and couldn't use the bottles because the babies couldn't handle the flow. Can more nipple sizes be made for ALL levels truly?
